satlive e sony vaio
« on: August 06, 2009, 08:26 »
Hello, I'm trying the demo version (last release) on my sony Vaio, the system crash when I try to open I/O setup.
If I deactivate internal audio card (Realtek) the system go right.
Is there a solution to keep active the internal soundcard?
thanks

Hi,

You're using version 1.32.2.18, is this right?
Does the problem appear imediately, or was it possible to access the I/O setup once?
Which OS do you use?

During startup there is the possibility to restet SATlive's audio system using the F10 key. This is indicated in the small window at the top right possition. Could you activate the build in card again and then reset the sound system during startup.
It would help me if'd knew if this solves the problem.

I'm trying the last release, 1.32.2.18.
The first time I've launched the program, always was ok: I select Audio I/O, then assign my audio interface (motu fast track pro) and work.
The second time I've launched the software the system crashed. (the blue screen).
Then I reboot the software but with no results.
Then I reset Audio I/O with F10 and the software start. When I try to enter Audio I/O by software button the system crash again.
The only way is to deactivate internal audio card and driver. Then I can reassign motu and work with the software.

Thanks.

Hi,

thanks for your quick reply.

- Which windows are you currently running (XP, vista, 2K, ....)

- Are the drivers for the onboard Audio I/O the most current ones?

- Do have any kind of Wave to ASIO software installed on your sytem, like Asio4All?

I'm using windows XP.
I've to verify the driver, I hope in the afternoon... then I'm writing you.
No, I've not any other ASIO software.

I try the software without internal audio card and works.
I'm intresting in purchase.

two other questions:
1) in the next months I'm changing my laptop for a newer one. (as soon as possible).. If I buy the license today (not the dongle), is possible in the future to deauthorize the older Pc and reauthorize the newer one with the same license code?
2) if I buy software license is there the possibility for a future upgrade to dongle?

Thanks

Simple answer is yes. But I'd suggest that you purchase the dongle, because this will make you independent from the pc you use.

Yes. The cost for this depends on the price you paid for your licence based version. But it will be a little higher then the price you'd do pay if you buy the dongle right now.

The software works without internal audio card installed but with an external audio interface.
Now, with the new driver everything works in a great way.

Thanks
I'm going ordering!
